Tach & Go Customer Terms
Last updated: October 14, 2026
These terms are an agreement between SyncEtc LLC ("SyncEtc," "we"), a New Jersey company, and the organization that uses Tach & Go ("your organization," "you"). The person who accepts them confirms that they are authorized to accept them on your organization's behalf. Each person who uses Tach & Go also agrees to our User Terms, which cover their own use.
1. What Tach & Go is. Tach & Go is software that flying clubs, flight schools, FBOs, boat and car clubs, and similar organizations use to share aircraft, boats, vehicles and other equipment, and to run their membership and their finances: applications and membership, a reservation calendar, maintenance and squawks, currency and documents, billing and reports.
2. Tach & Go is not a compliance system. Tach & Go is scheduling and organization-management software. Features that track inspections, renewals, currency, squawks, groundings or dispatch are conveniences to help your organization keep its own records. They do not determine airworthiness, seaworthiness, roadworthiness, eligibility to operate, or compliance with 14 CFR or any other law, regulation or standard, and they must not be relied on for that purpose. Your organization, its maintenance providers, and each pilot in command or operator remain solely responsible for compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including the pilot in command's own determination of airworthiness before flight. Information in Tach & Go may be incomplete, out of date or incorrect for any reason, including because it depends on what your organization and its users enter. SyncEtc makes no warranty that any reminder, status, warning, refusal or permission shown in Tach & Go is timely, accurate or complete.
3. Your organization's decisions. Your organization alone decides who joins, what it asks its applicants and members, what it keeps and for how long, who among its administrators can see what, what it charges, and what its rules are for reservations, currency and maintenance. SyncEtc does not make those decisions. Your organization is responsible for the actions of the administrators it appoints, and for its own terms and privacy notice for its members and applicants.
4. How SyncEtc handles your organization's data. Our privacy policy is part of these terms.
4.1 Your data. As between your organization and SyncEtc, your organization owns the information it and its users enter into Tach & Go ("your data") and decides what to collect and how it is used. SyncEtc handles your data only on your organization's behalf: to provide, secure, maintain and support Tach & Go, and as these terms or the law require.
4.2 No sale or other use. Other than the directory listing set forth in 4.11 below, SyncEtc will not sell or rent your data, use it for advertising, disclose it to another organization, or use it to train artificial intelligence.
4.3 Access. Only SyncEtc personnel who need your data to provide, secure, maintain or support the service for your organization may access it, and they must keep it confidential.
4.4 Service providers. SyncEtc may use the service providers named in its privacy policy, and requires each to use your data only to provide its service to SyncEtc. SyncEtc will update that list before adding a provider that handles your data.
4.5 Security. SyncEtc will keep reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards for your data.
4.6 Incidents. If SyncEtc confirms that your data has been accessed without permission, it will notify your organization without undue delay, share what it knows, and reasonably help your organization meet its own obligations to notify.
4.7 Requests and legal demands. SyncEtc will refer to your organization any request from a user about their information. If SyncEtc receives a legal demand for your data, it will notify your organization first, unless the law forbids it.
4.8 Export and deletion. Your organization may export its data at any time. When your organization stops using Tach & Go, SyncEtc will keep its data for 90 days for export or restoration, then delete all of it. Only SyncEtc can carry out that deletion. Copies in backups are deleted as the backups age out. SyncEtc keeps only its own records of its dealings with your organization, for as long as the law requires, and your organization's short name within Tach & Go, which stays reserved. Your organization's own domain remains yours.
4.9 Location. SyncEtc stores your data in the United States.
4.10 Your organization's responsibilities. Your organization is responsible for collecting information lawfully, giving its users its own privacy notice, obtaining any consent it needs (including any consent the law requires from the parents or guardians of minors), the accuracy of what it enters, and the people it makes administrators. If your organization uses its own domain with Tach & Go, your organization owns it and is responsible for keeping it registered, paid for and pointed correctly. If it lapses, your public pages at that address stop working, and SyncEtc is not responsible for that.
4.11 Directory listing. SyncEtc may list your organization in its public directory of flying clubs, flight schools and FBOs, showing only its name; its kind (such as flying club, flight school or FBO); its home airport or location, with a map; its public website; what it offers, as found on its public website or other public sources (such as aircraft rental or flight training); the date the listing was last checked; and that it uses Tach & Go. Your organization may choose to add a mission statement and contact details; nothing else about your organization or its members appears. Your organization can change or remove its listing at any time.
5. Fees. Your organization agrees to pay the fees in SyncEtc's fee schedule, as published on our website when the fees apply. If we change our fees, we will tell your organization at least 30 days before the change takes effect. If your organization does not want to continue at the new fees, it may stop using Tach & Go before then, and the new fees will not apply to it.
6. Availability. We work to keep Tach & Go available and correct, and we keep backups. We do not promise that it will be available without interruption or free of error. We may take it offline for maintenance, and we may change or withdraw features.
7. Suspension and ending. Your organization may stop using Tach & Go at any time. We may suspend or end your organization's use if it breaks these terms or does not pay fees that are due, after telling it why and giving it a reasonable chance to fix the problem, unless the law or a risk to others requires us to act at once. Any suspension holds only your organization's administrators: members keep seeing their reservations, groundings, squawks and safety notices. When your organization's use ends, section 4.8 applies.
8. Limits on liability. To the extent the law allows, SyncEtc is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for loss of profit or opportunity, or for loss arising from a decision your organization made using Tach & Go, and SyncEtc's total liability under these terms is limited to the fees your organization paid SyncEtc in the 12 months before the claim. We do not exclude anything that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Changes. When we materially change these terms or our privacy policy, an administrator of your organization must accept the new version within 30 days. If none has by then, your organization's administrators cannot make changes in Tach & Go until one accepts it. Everyone else in your organization can keep using it.
10. Governing law. These terms are governed by the law of New Jersey, and any dispute will be heard in the courts of New Jersey.
